Merlin Lab is Ceasing Operations
Hello everyone,
It is with much sadness that I must announce we are closing Merlin Lab. Most of you have heard that we have been exploited by a technical flaw within our code. Whilst the development team has engaged an external independent security auditor every step of our code development, it has been communicated that this was an oversight by both parties. The Merlin development team wanted to create a secure DeFi platform for everyone. However, the hackers relentlessly attacked our vision for a great DeFi project. This time our development team, with honest tears, shared with us that they did not feel comfortable keeping the project going and felt too inexperienced to provide our community with a safe space.
For some of us this was our vision. Our dream to build this project and share it with the world. Today we lost that vision. We have faced reality that hiring an entirely new team of developers is a huge security risk for everyone and decided to officially end Merlin Lab.
Next Steps:
1. We are releasing this formal announcement on every channels so everyone is aware of what is happening, all channels will be muted.
2. We will put a notice on the website and stop all deposits.
3. The website will be kept running until everyone has ample time to withdraw their funds safely.
We regret the necessity of this action and thank the Merlin community for its support and active participation in this project. Please make sure you withdraw your assets from Merlin Lab as we cease operations.
